pretty sharp

  • shoes: Land’s End
  • dress: JCPenney Outlet
  • belt: Old Navy (thrifted)
  • watch: Brighton (gifted)
I got two compliments on my outfit today at work. One person told me my dress reminded her of the polka dot dress in Pretty Woman (I just need a matching sunhat, rich bachelor, and the Cinderella story to complete the look). And an English professor at work yelled “sharp outfit!” at me from down the hall. I’m going to attribute my success to my recent style guidance from reading Jessica Quirk’s book What I Wore. J.Quirk also recommends wearing neutral and/or metallic shoes with just about everything, so I tried it out today with my black dress. I think she’s right - it does help make your legs look longer versus wearing black shoes!
