My bracelets are very special today because…they’ve all been found on the street. My grandmother found the green one years ago when she was about my age and no one ever claimed it. And I just rescued the three bangles from boxes of junk outside an apartment when I was in nyc. I thought they were brass until I got home and polished them and found out they were just horribly tarnished and are actually silver. This outfit is really simple and that’s a good thing because it was 91 degrees today and I was in and out of meetings allll day. And yes, I am standing on a bush* in these pictures so mom could get that really interesting looking plant in the picture. *No plants were harmed in the making of this post.

Admittedly it was a bit warm for this jacket today but this is pretty much a one season jacket so I had to jump on it before it hits 100 degrees. Plus it was perfect for the chilly and foggy morning commute to work. Is pollen bothering anybody else yet? My office mate and I spent the whole day blessing one another continually. “Bless you!” “No, no, bless you.” Seriously, sneezes all day. One of my facebook friends said it best: “Please let it rain, not in the Lil Wayne sense but actual rain. I hate pollen.”

- skirt: JCPenney Outlet?
- top: L.L.Bean
- belt & tights: Target
- bracelet & clutch: vintage
- boots: vintage Etienne Aigner (thrifted)
I just acquired my fourth pair of thrifted boots! I really need some black boots, but when vintage Aigner boots in a nice cordovan/burgundy color come along for $14, you don’t say no. As chance would have it, my mother had a cordovan colored clutch she’s had for forever that she let me borrow. She still had a napkin and match box inside that were tokens from when one of my uncles got married in 1983. This is when coming from a long line of borderline hoarders pays off.
