What I thought was going to be the last big snowfall of the winter turned into a very cold, gross rain. But Cait, Meg, and I got together for our semi-regular weekly Mexican night, which brightened up the day significantly. As did this pop of kelly green. Something about the combination of mary jane flats and bows all around my neckline felt girlish today. But seeing as how my 25th birthday is in just a couple weeks, I will fully embrace the girlish.

chin up, buttercup

Today was a very cloudy, gloomy sort of day so this yellow was in order. I’ve got several deadlines rapidly approaching at work so I spent most of the day rallying the troops and drinking multiple cups of hot tea. Also, please note that I use any excuse (ie any temperature over 55 degrees) to ditch tights.

ventures with a collar necklace

So Caitlin and I apparently both bought old school detached collars around the same time a while back. I’m a sucker for all things old fashioned, vintage-y, or handmade so this naturally made the cut when I was out thrift shopping. I’m a little in love with this outfit for two reasons. The first reason is this awesome vintage Pendleton skirt that my grandmother graciously hemmed for me. And the second reason is that my whole outfit (except for shoes & jewelry) was found at thrift stores. Aside from jewelry, I paid around $19 total for everything in my outfit today. Yay for bargain shopping!  Also, I had a total of five meetings today. FIVE. This is nuts. My desk/stack of paperwork probably misses me. I don’t know that I miss it…
