I wore this yesterday for casual Friday and surprisingly it seemed like a big hit, judging from the many comments I got. We’re having lots of beautiful spring days around here! I went to a bbq cook-off briefly today and then spent the rest of the day doing laundry/chores and a really long walk outside. Hope everyone is having a great weekend too! (Also, my necklace was designed for Michelle Obama. Say whattt. It comes with a ribbon so you can wear it long or tie it up short. Thanks, Mom!)

Today was fairly busy, and involved some trips off campus, which is always good for making the day speed along! I’ve been putting together a sports brochure for the past week or so, and I think it’s mostly done as of this afternoon… hooray for progress! And now I plan on enjoying my weekend :D My mom was telling me about this huge antique/salvage store about a half an hour from home… thinking I might have to hit that up tomorrow!

For all my complaining about wanting it to be spring so I can wear lots of bright colors, of course I’d wear a completely monochrome outfit on the first day of spring. Typical. This is a pretty standard minimal effort outfit for me, but I always enjoy days where I can get away with them; I only had to work for a couple of hours today so it worked out nicely :) Speaking of the first day of spring, this is a weird trick I heard that only works today: get a broom and try to balance it on the bristly end - since the sun lines up with the equator, it’ll stand by itself. Or something… I’m no scientist haha. You should try it… definitely worked for me on two separate instances :D

Happy Friday, everyone! My day was pretty laid back, went to a surprise 90th birthday cookout they threw for my adopted grandma at my dad’s office. They made her a big margarita, too! She’s awesome, and one of the sweetest ladies ever :) Tomorrow should be interesting - my mom and I are going to take a gun safety class, which gets us a concealed permit at the end of it. That’s pretty frightening, haha.

Sorry for my extended absence, y’all! Spring break is upon us, which equals fun trips to NYC and Providence to see my baby sista and one of my lovely college amigas :D It was a fun fast-paced few days! Now to catch up on stuff around here before it’s back to work on Monday - ran a few errands and may or may not have picked a few goodies at Goodwill [hi, my name is Cait and I’m a goodwill-aholic?] before grabbing dinner with SBK. Recognize the foto location? I think it might be one of my faves so far :)

So this post is rather false, because I wore this outfit on Friday, not today. And I told myself, Sarah Beth, just hold these photos in reserve, for a sick day, or a rainy day, or a day when you’re too busy to get pictures. Because I did just post about my new coat, after all. But I like this coat, and this blue-ish cardigan just too darn much to wait. And maybe I’m just already ready for casual Friday again, even though it’s only Monday. Also - I live with two golden retrievers. Black pants beware.

I wore this outfit to dinner & an improv show Friday night, which was fine until we left the show and I realized I had made an error not bringing a heavier coat. Did everyone have a good weekend? I made a cake, read some, watched some Downton Abbey, made a quick trip to Greensboro, and went on some windy walks with my dog.

To get you (even more) pumped for the weekend now that we’ve survived to Thursday night, I thought I’d finally post what I wore last Saturday. We went on a short day trip nearby, saw some sights, picked up some chicken salad, and ate dinner at the one and only Mama Possum’s. I may or may not have concluded the evening with a milk shake. Also, I’m really digging this chambray shirt this year.

I’m really glad I got these pants… I think I’ve worn them to every Tech game since I bought them, so if nothing else, that makes them a good purchase :D And I’m excited I finally got one of my millions of tshirts on here… they no joke constitute about 95% of my tshirt collection, and they’re pretty much all I wear on the weekend. The boots and jacket were an exercise in dressing up said tshirt, although let’s be real, ain’t nobody gonna care what you wear to a basketball game in Blacksburg [as long as it’s either maroon or orange] :D
