I love the understated print of this sundress, my definitely-not-understated, obnoxiously large ring, my new metallic leather sandals, and my brother making me laugh. I feel rejuvenated after a week spent reading on the beach and floating in the ocean. Yep, I’ve got work piling up and the battery on my macbook is about kaput, but all in all, life feels pretty good.

The weird thing about this outfit (especially the color) is it looks like something I would wear to work in the spring or summer, but unusual times/temperatures call for unusual measures. In other news, it’s getting harder and harder to leave for work every day because my dog has started to perch her paws on the windowsill and mournfully watch me drive away. It makes me want to throw the car in park and take a sick day just so I don’t have to see that sad, little face.
