I’m so confused about the weather now that when we finally have a warm and sunny day, I still wear an outfit that could literally be worn on any day of the calendar year. I’m reading a book right now about Flannery O’Connor, which is set in Milledgeville, Georgia and on her farm, Andalusia. It’s pretty special because I visited there with a class my senior year of college. You know what else is special? Tomorrow being Friday - I’m looking forward to a chill weekend and celebrating Mother’s day with my mom and grandmothers.

One day closer to the weekend! SB, Meg, and I all met up for our more or less weekly Mexican night, which was a definite improvement on my day - trying to track down loads of information from loads of different people to put together a brochure by next Tuesday is a little stressful, but hopefully everything will come together in the end :D

I’m always excited to have lunch with Caitlin, especially when I get to take pictures before the end of the day. I had a pretty productive day at work, which included a phone call with a guy from the National Endowment for the Arts about a proposal I wrote a few months ago. Also, I officially finished going through my closet and have all my summer clothes organized and ready to go for the season.

Spring cleaning at my house continues! It feels really good to get rid of a lot of stuff. These lucky items I wore today are clothes that actually made the cut to not get donated. Also, a lady stopped me in the hall at work today to tell me that she read an article that said polka dots were in style right now. So I guess that makes this outfit officially approved by passerby at large. This outfit reminds me of how I wore this skirt last year.

It’s exciting when it’s warm enough where you don’t need a coat with an outfit like this :D Now that I think about it, I should have worn this for Valentine’s Day…. maybe next year! I haven’t worn this dress in a while, guess it needed a break for a little while since it was on pretty heavy rotation earlier last year.

I would like to bestow upon this week the ‘longest week ever’ award, congratulations, February 4-8! Needless to say, I’m quite excited for the weekend… there are several exciting things going on [an improv show?!], and I have the house to myself, so I think an epic pajama/dance party at some point is in order :D I’m totally one of those kids who have ragers when their parents are gone - my mom was like ‘I would be worried if it was your sister we were leaving at home alone, but not you.’ Not sure if I should be flattered or offended by that assessment, haha.

This is one of the outfits I wasn’t able to take pictures of last week due to weather/darkness. Sometimes I’m glad when that happens because it gives me an excuse to wear an outfit again. Not that I couldn’t do that anyway, but it seems a little more justified? Haha. My hair looks really dark here for some reason… I’ve been toying with the idea of dyeing it darker [the urge strikes again, a little early this year though!]… maybe this is foreshadowing?

I’m gonna have to do a retrospective post of all the ways I’ve worn this dress [I’ve only linked the four most recent times haha]… it’s got to be, by far, the one piece I’ve been able to do the most with currently in my closet. Hooray for versatile clothes! So I thought going back to school after being on vacation was rough… going back to work after being on vacation is about 239842039 times worse I think. Lots to keep me busy, though! At least summer scheduling is more forgiving than during the school year :D

I think I’ve probably said this before [the hardest part of this blog, aside from coming up with titles, is trying to not repeat myself in the write-up haha], but I’m a huge sucker for details, so this blouse gets an A in my book. I really like how the collar frames the necklace! I kinda feel compelled to make an architecture parallel here… haha… should have gone with my original thesis idea comparing fashion and architecture, I guess. Buuuuut I’ve got a diploma either way so I don’t imagine I’ll be losing any sleep over that sailed ship :D

Another double duty outfit from last weekend - wore it Saturday to work and then again on Sunday to church for probably a combined total of 6 hours, compared to the other maybe 22 hours I spent in gym shorts and a t-shirt. I don’t like weekends that don’t feel like weekends because you have too much to do/feel bad, so I didn’t much feel like putting in extra outfit effort. I suppose in the interest of fairness, I should do a typical weekend outfit post one day… we shall see.
