These pictures are from last week, but I did wear this outfit out to dinner tonight! Just pretend I took these on our boardwalk with the ocean behind me and my skin significantly more tan :) I wish I could stay here indefinitely, just reading [halfway through my library stack of 8… should probably slow it down, ha] and soaking up all the sunshine I can. Best place in the world!

Well, the last event of the year can be checked off the list! I know all the seniors are so excited to graduate and head off to college. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous that they have all that ahead of them to experience, haha. College was some good times :D This year’s graduation was better than last year, both weather- and speaker-wise, but since I actually got to know a lot more of the seniors this year, it was definitely more bittersweet than last year, too. Also, I think my camera and I need a break from each other after this week - I lost track of how many memory cards I went through from all the pictures I took. I have a feeling next week Photoshop and I are gonna be gettin’ real cozy :)

- top: The Limited
- skirt: thrifted/shortened
- boots: Frye
I found these boots in a consignment store over the weekend. They look like they’ve only been worn enough to get them broken in - since I brought them home and cleaned them up, they look pretty much brand new! Too bad it’s almost the end of boot-wearing weather… but that’s ok, since I intend on wearing these for a while :)

- cardigan: Eci [thrifted]
- dress: thrifted/altered
- heels: thrifted/painted
- necklace: self-made
- earrings: gift
- purse: Fossil [via Marshalls; gift]
I feel quite accomplished in this outfit, since most of it’s thrifted and/or somehow altered/created :) Today seemed like a good day for some color/spring-y feeling clothes, and the weather actually cooperated - it was sunny and moderately warm, hooray! Days like this have me itching to be outside all day long… soon!

Sorry for my extended absence, y’all! Spring break is upon us, which equals fun trips to NYC and Providence to see my baby sista and one of my lovely college amigas :D It was a fun fast-paced few days! Now to catch up on stuff around here before it’s back to work on Monday - ran a few errands and may or may not have picked a few goodies at Goodwill [hi, my name is Cait and I’m a goodwill-aholic?] before grabbing dinner with SBK. Recognize the foto location? I think it might be one of my faves so far :)

Meg graciously volunteered [or was eventually convinced into, haha] doing a guest post when we all went for one of our more or less weekly Mexican nights a couple of weeks ago. She’s been substitute teaching for a while now, and this is one of her always nicely put together [and comfy to boot!] outfits that would work well for hanging out with students all day :D This pretty pink of the cardigan pops against the greys and blacks, and is a really nice color on her too!

This is another delayed outfit posting from a couple of weeks ago :D today in honor of birthday/snow day shenanigans I’m wearing my snowflake pj’s and chilling [or trying not to, rather… ha] in the living room by the gas logs working on my epic blanket… it’s getting bigger :D Zac Brown concert tomorrow for official celebrations, hooray!

- coat: Kenneth Cole Reaction

- pants: Zara
- boots: Frye [via Zappos]
- bracelet: gift [thanks, Kelly :D]
Another chilly day, but I was actually quite toasty all day! Not only do I have this scarf wrapped around like five times, but the sweater’s also a turtleneck, and I have on a tank top underneath! Plus tall boots + socks are always a good way to go to keep the legs warm :D Do you ever buy things that you’re slightly intimidated to wear? That’s sort of how I feel about these boots… they look a lot fancier than I was expecting, but they’re so gorgeous/surprisingly comfortable given the appearance of the heel.

- wedges: Forever 21
- necklace: ModCloth
So after this 70*ish weather, I’m deciding that spring should start now. After about two weeks of snow days, of course :D I was outside pretty much all day Saturday and it was glorioussss. Can you get spring fever if it’s still winter?

One of my new year’s resolutions is to actually start using my big camera for all my outfit pics… I have a remote which I actually dug out and used today, and I should have been doing this all along! It’s interesting to go way back in the archives and see the improvements in my photography… hooray for this being a learning experience :D This whole outfit is new, courtesy of a Target gift card I got for Christmas + epic clearance section finds! I especially love the blouse with its tiny little anchor print :D
