I love that I can get home late and still take pictures outside now! I got to leave work a little early today and went to help my mom pick out some fabric to recover our kitchen barstool seats, and may or may not have stopped by Goodwill - y’all, I think I have a problem. Only got a couple of books and a sweet old VT mug [circa late 70s or early 80s by my mom’s estimation] though; I didn’t even look at the clothes… maybe I didn’t miss out on anything too epic!

I would like to bestow upon this week the ‘longest week ever’ award, congratulations, February 4-8! Needless to say, I’m quite excited for the weekend… there are several exciting things going on [an improv show?!], and I have the house to myself, so I think an epic pajama/dance party at some point is in order :D I’m totally one of those kids who have ragers when their parents are gone - my mom was like ‘I would be worried if it was your sister we were leaving at home alone, but not you.’ Not sure if I should be flattered or offended by that assessment, haha.

It’s official - this girl is not leaving the house for the next day if she can get away with it… this weather is way too miserably cold. I used to have a higher cold tolerance when I was still in college, but after moving home, I’m not used to having to deal with temperatures this low! I’m a weenie, what can I say? I took pictures in about 42 seconds today because my hands were getting so numb I thought I would drop my camera, which would be all sorts of not ok. Is it spring yet?!

So today for lunch, SBK and I decided to mix it up and go to another of the approximately four restaurants in town. While you can’t beat their food [their bbq’s been on Food Network!? it’s super legit :D], their parking lot’s a little more densely populated than the mall’s = we had to contend with a looot more curious onlookers [some of whom honked their horns as they drove by - this place is on a pretty busy road too, bonus!]. You mean people randomly taking pictures of themselves during their lunch break isn’t a common occurence?!

Some crazy weather we’re having, huh? There’s currently an epic blizzard to our west and an epic hurricane to our east/north [which I flew over last night on my way home from NYC… that was a little traumatizing but at least I’m not posting this while trapped in JFK!]. I hope we don’t have school tomorrow! Apparently I’m the person who has to send out the email notification for that…. does that mean I can decide to cancel classes? Hmmm…. so much power :D

I don’t usually wear a lot of pink… guess this is my subconsciously self-imposed week to wear it multiple times? Guess it makes sense, with October being breast cancer awareness month. I really like this sweater, but it got tossed into the dryer accidentally once and shrunk a little too much… thinking it’s time for it to head to Goodwill. Enjoy your blog cameo, pretty soft pink sweater… I’ll miss you :/

Another chaotic day that didn’t end until close to 8:00 tonight… glad I took pictures yesterday! I hope things start slowing down soon… all this stress may drive me crazy. Hopefully not. I need a vacation. Guess I can try to live vicariously through my parents who are going to the beach Saturday for a week for their anniversary… I’m jealous!
