The rain finally went away! And it so kindly left in its place humidity-free skies and pretty green pastures full of buttercups, which I took full advantage of during today’s photo session. I love all the colors of spring… fall is pretty with its fiery leaves, but spring uses every possible shade of green to its advantage, not to mention all those pretty pinks and yellows! Slash I wasn’t aware buttercups came in tie-dyed versions… maybe they’re the hippies of the flower world? Ha.

Today was fairly busy, and involved some trips off campus, which is always good for making the day speed along! I’ve been putting together a sports brochure for the past week or so, and I think it’s mostly done as of this afternoon… hooray for progress! And now I plan on enjoying my weekend :D My mom was telling me about this huge antique/salvage store about a half an hour from home… thinking I might have to hit that up tomorrow!

I ended up having to go in to work for about an hour, so nothing too fancy today! I thought I’d already had this outfit on here, but after doing some research, I found some similar but not quite identical ones. Something that I haven’t had on here yet are these cute earrings I got when I was in NYC over spring break - got them at the Brooklyn Flea! That’s a place I could definitely use more of in my life… so much cool stuff to peruse :)

Happy Friday, everyone! My day was pretty laid back, went to a surprise 90th birthday cookout they threw for my adopted grandma at my dad’s office. They made her a big margarita, too! She’s awesome, and one of the sweetest ladies ever :) Tomorrow should be interesting - my mom and I are going to take a gun safety class, which gets us a concealed permit at the end of it. That’s pretty frightening, haha.

Today was kind of dreary… the sun was trying its best to peek through the clouds when I was taking pictures but it lost the battle, alas. I had lots to keep me busy, so at least the day went relatively quickly! Gotta get caught up so I can be off Friday and hop on a plane to Buffalo :D So excited for a mini college reunion with some awesome amigas!!

What a day. I met the dark side of two hour delays this morning (at 5:45am this morning to be exact… ick)… that’s the only downside to having to make the announcements. I’m still not quite sure why we went late, since it was clear and pretty this morning? But at any rate, I feel like I’ve had a two hour delay hangover all day. At least yearbook stuff is on track for our deadline Monday, and I scored a couple of soon to be awesome fixer uppers circa 1982 at Goodwill after work! I’ve actually been sewing a looot this past week, so I guess I must have subconsciously felt compelled to make sure my fix it up pile doesn’t shrink too much :D

So after this 70*ish weather, I’m deciding that spring should start now. After about two weeks of snow days, of course :D I was outside pretty much all day Saturday and it was glorioussss. Can you get spring fever if it’s still winter?

You know, today was probably one of the best Mondays I’ve had in a long time [which for a Monday, especially, is saying a looottt]. I can’t really put my finger on a reason why, either, it was a pretty standard uneventful Monday…. but I am quite alright with days when I wake up on the right side of the bed, at least once I’m fully awake, haha. This is setting the standard for the rest of the week, I’m deciding… attitude is everything, right?!

Wow, so I’ve been a huge slacker this week on the blog front… sorry, y’all! I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving :D I gotta admit it’s been nice not having to be on my computer for so much of the day this week… I’ve been catching up on my reading and working on my crocheting ventures, one of which you can see in this outfit. Hooray for learning random unnecessary skills!

SBK had the genius idea to bring her camera to lunch today so we could take fotos during the daylight, and also so y’all could see how wonderful our mall[’s exterior] is. What up, Liberty Fair?! At least it has Chick-Fil-A and JoAnns, I guess :D So who’s ready for the weekend besides this girl? This weekend in particular because it kicks off Thanksgiving break, and because I get to see some cool people too :D
