I originally wore this dress today in pseudo-mourning of having graduated from college two years ago this weekend, since that’s what I wore then. I always think of this as my watercolor dress, but I think I’m gonna have to rename it my compliment dress: coworkers and students both, allll day long, were like “I loooove that dress!” “You look so pretty!” “Where did you get that?! It’s soooo cute!” Definite self-esteem booster :) I’m always excited when one of the kids tells me they like what I’m wearing, too!

Today felt like one of those average, run of the mill, business as usual type days. Went to work as usual, went for a run after work, did some laundry. But sometimes, it’s nice to have a day with relatively low stress. My dad is back home, after spending over a week out of town, taking care of my grandmother, who finally just got out of the hospital. It’s good to have him home, and to know my grandmother is beginning the recovery process.

Everything is finally all pretty and green outside! And I think the pollen might be mostly washed away after the rain we’ve had over the past couple of days… fingers crossed. I’m excited for my day off tomorrow - I went to JoAnn’s after work to get some fabric for my newest project, which you will most likely be seeing on here soon :D

I am very pleased to announce that our yearbooks have arrived and have been sorted and partially given out without tooo many mishaps! Well, except for people who paid for them but didn’t turn in a form so they didn’t get ordered, and people whose orders were inaccurate…. but those crises have been successfully resolved [fingers crossed]. This is something I’ll be quite excited to have out of my hair :D Getting closer!

Well, looks like I’m falling behind because this is my third post in a row that is of an outfit I wore ages ago. Those flowers are no longer in bloom, unfortunately. I had my Duke University Nonprofit Management class today so I was out of town and didn’t manage to get pictures when I got home. In other news, I’m catching up on season two of Call the Midwife - love that show!

Today, I had a good hair day. The last time I really recall this happening for sure was that one day last July. Also, I was very pleased to finally get to wear my new thrifted heels, which I waited to wear until spring because of their open sling backs. Since my brother’s home for spring break, we’ve declared it movie week. So far I’ve seen Silver Linings Playbook, Looper, and am currently watching Celeste and Jesse Forever. Any recommendations for us? Also - enter our giveaway if you haven’t already!

Easing our way back into the week with a two hour delay today! Except the part where I had an hour and a half long marketing meeting…. haha. It’s actually gotten warm [above freezing?! I’m revising my standards] today which is quite exciting. Another super exciting thing: I officially have two trips planned in the next six weeks that involve getting on a plane and going somewhere awesome! I can’t believe spring break is that close, but I’m not gonna contest it :D
